Introduction and objective: According to the resistance of bacteria to antibiotics, researchers have been trying to discover new antibiotics, among, medical plants have played an important role that Stachys lavandulifolia is one of these plants which hasbeen used for treatment of pneumonia by the people of Boyer Ahmad as traditional medicine. First, we provide hydro-alcoholic extract of Stachyslavandifolia and then during several different experiments and by a plate method minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa growth obtained, and then diameter of this extract were compared with the diameter of the standard antibiotics.The results showed that hydroalcoholic extract of Stachysalavandifolia in comparison with standard antibiotics has shown a good antimicrobial effect, however, we hope in future with more efforts and best works on this plant , we can use this plant as an alternative for synthetic and semi-fabricated antibiotics. So that, Stachys lavandulifolia in concentration of 750mg/ml on Streptococcus pneumoniae is better than all compared antibiotics , but pseudomonas aeruginosa in concentration (1000 mg/ ml ) had a weakereffect in compared with standard antibiotics.
