The situation of Rural Tourism Economy in Iran, with a Focus on Inhibiting Factors Affecting Positive Impacts of Rural Tourism on Iran’s Economic Status

In this research we tried to study the situation of tourism& rural tourism economy in Iran, the condition of entry and exit of tourists in Iran andinhibiting factors affecting positive impacts of tourism& rural tourism on Iran’s economic status. For studding the situation of tourism& rural tourism economy in Iran we used from documentary and library research methods. Also for finding the inhibiting factors affecting positive impacts of tourism&rural tourism on Iran’s economic status, we used from field research method based on questionnaire. The statistical methods of this research are based on119 authorities involved in tourism and rural tourism. For perusing the descriptive and demographic results, descriptive statistical tests were used byone sample compare kolmogrove Smirnove test. The most important results of this study are as follows:Iran’s % share of tourism contribution to GDP in the years 2003-2014 is verylow and its changes in these years are disproportionate. There is not any especial information and detailed statistics about rural tourism and rural tourists in Iran. Lack of planning, participation and management in the field oftourism are the most important inhibiting factors affecting positive tourism impacts on Iran’s economic status from authorities’ standpoints. Also politicalfactors could be one of the most important factors affecting tourism economic situation in Iran.
