چکیده مقاله:

The book market is stagnate and the distribution of cheap and good book is limited. Paper is expensive and lacking. The book readers are diminishing gradually and publishers are reluctant to publish a new book and unfortunately, studying has not been an urgent need for people.Book is not regarded as an essential commodity like food, clothes and shelter. These sentences are a summary of reports of page 8 of Keihan newspaper in 29 of Dey, 1389 and it shows a growing concern of The decreasing number of readers’ population’ and general lack of attention of Iranian society towards studying and reading . The supreme council of the Cultural Revolution in an enactment called bill for effective studying movement , enacted in 1389, has defined studying as reading any written texts (printed or electronic) . This definition of studying include reading TV subtitles, commercial flyers and banners, short messages on cell phones and etc.. Meanwhile this enactment has pointed out another index i.e., effective studying and has defined it as The studying is useful that is effective and gives a good result and it is expected to have scientific, practical, behavioral, mental repercussions. Moreover, these results should help the person to motivate, enhance commitment, increase mental ability, develop practical knowledge, improve practical skill and finally to help the person to use his potentiality and talents. The president’s advice in opening ceremony of schools in Mehr(1392) about topics like revitalization of composition , holding dialogue and free discussion meeting holding a book session indicate national rationality, forethoughtfulness and concern in Iran’s educational system. President Rouhani advised to hold book reading session and promote habit of book reading and studying at schools. What has been lost in development of modern communicational technologies, virtual world, social networks, digital media and life problems is study time and rate of reading books, so that it is very important to pay particular attention to book, studying book and promotion of culture of studying in our society especially among students.
