چکیده مقاله:

Essential oil of Teucrium polium L. growing in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province (Iran) was obtained by supercritical CO2 (SC-CO2) extraction. The essential oil was analyzed by GC/MS. The SC-CO2 extraction was carried out at different temperatures (308-328 K) and pressures (13-20 MPa). The effects of these parameters on the extraction yield were investigated. The results showed that the highest extraction yield was achieved at a temperature of 308 K and pressure of 20 MPa. Sixty-two constituents were identified in the oil obtained by SC-CO2 at the best conditions. The main components extracted by this method at the best conditions were Valerianol (30.7%), αPinene (10.4%), β-Pinene (8.6%), (E)-Caryophyllene (7.9%), Limonene (5.6%) ,Myrcene (5.4%) and Germacrene D (4.1%). The results revealed that in this method, Valerianol, an oxygenated sesquiterpene, was a major component. It is the first time that Valerianol at such high percentage has been characterized in T.polium L. essential oil.
