Genotyping and Molecular Characterization of Dermatophytes Isolates collected from Patients in Different Region of Tehran

Identification of dermatophytes using the traditional method is sometimes problematic and some atypical microscopic or macroscopic morphology are non-detectable. The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the feasibility of using sequencing of the chitin synthase 1 gene for identification of dermatophyte species.
