چکیده مقاله:
Basic geographic factors, weather condition and its changes during a extended period of time would define the climate of a region. The purpose of climatology of an area is to discover and explain natural behavior of the atmosphere and earth in order to harness natural resources for human demands and recognize different climate potentials for human life benefits. The basic human need for thermal comfort in buildings beside environmental pollution's issues, energy crisis, global warming and urban heat islands have made climatology more essential in architecture and urban design. The purpose of this research is to find a pattern for climatic design in humid continental regions and answer the questions of what are the characteristics of this climate and what kind of strategies can be considered in climatic design of its buildings? Sidasht village is selected as a case study in order to investigate climate, and results of the research are obtained by collecting and organizing weather data and analyzing it on the basis of climatic design principles. Analysis of climatic charts indicates comfort zone in different months of the year and suggestions and solutions. Finally, some patterns of architectural design in Sidasht village, and there upon other regions with similar climate, such as appropriate configuration, fenestration, passive solar systems, usage of renewable energies and suitable materials will be recommended.
