چکیده مقاله:

Spherical magnesium chloride particles adducted with ethanol, as support of Ziegler-Natta catalyst for polymerization of ethylene and propylene were prepared by the fast quenching method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been used to investigate the physical structure of magnesium chloride adducts. XRD results indicate that at the same conditions, the agitation speed of C2H5OH/MgCl2/mineral oil emulsion affected the crystalline phase and crystallites size of the prepared adducts. By increasing the speed (500-1800 rpm), the crystalline form of MgCl2 has been changed from α to β and δ form. Although, this study has shown that emulsion’s speed of agitating were affected the morphology, size distribution and porosity of produced particles. With increasing the speed, spherical porous particles could be achieved. The best speed to production spherical porous particles with more pure β and δ crystalline phase is 1800 rpm. That means increasing speed tends to form more uniform and porous spherical particles. Also N2 BET surface area results confirm this subject.
