چکیده مقاله:

Since the concept of quality of life is an essential element for creation of a better life, it undergoes great awareness from public as well as from academic-world lately. This study investigated the attribution of quality of life development to English learning on the part of EFL learners. Thus, a total of 194 native Persian speakers (mean age: 26.2; age range: 18-44; 77 males, 117 females; 85 BA; 86 MA; 23 PhD) from 8 different universities participated and filled out a quality of life questionnaire constructed by adopting questions from existing questionnaires and writing new items for the purpose of this study. The results showed that 69% of the participants believed in the satisfaction, which is convoyed by EL in the Psychological/Spiritual part of their lives, 63% of satisfaction in the Social part and 55% of satisfaction in the Family subscale. Overall, it can be concluded that learning English changes QoL in every aspect of our lives. It is hoped that this study will provide insights into how language learning changes the lives of learners.
