چکیده مقاله:

Iran and 5+1 negotiations reached a point on July 14, 2015. It was welcomed by world leaders and many called it a new chapter in Iran ‘s relation with the world although the conservatists of both Iran and the united states opposed it .This paper adopts a critical discourse analysis approach and compares the presentation of the news of this deal in two ideologically different websites: Press TV and CNN .Van Dijk‘s notion of ideological square” and Fairclough‘s concept of ” intertextuality” together with lexicalization and quotation selection were well suited to unmask their ideological bias . With respect to quotation selection and lexicalization, significant differences were found in these two websites coverage of this specific news. This study demonstrated that the choice of quotation patterns and lexicalization is by no means objective or neutral and presentations of speech in the news tend to be loaded with ideological bias to achieve political objectives
