چکیده مقاله:
The present work describes preparation of a novel modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) based on TiO2 and Ag particles, and its application for electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine. For this purpose, a film of TiO2 nanoparticles was placed on the surface of CPE and Ag particles was deposited on the surfaces of TiO2 nanoparticles by photo-deposition method in a solution of 0.005 mol/L silver nitrate. The electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of the resulting Ag/TiO2/CPE was studied by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry methods. During CV experiments, oxidation of hydrazine was well evidenced by appearance of well-defined anodic peak in the forward scans with a very lower overpotential compared to conventional carbon paste. Effect of hydrazine concentration on the electrooxidation performance of electrode was investigated. The modified electrode exhibited a good electrocatalytic capability and appropriate stability for electro-oxidation of hydrazine during experiments. The results exhibited that the modified electrode has a good application potential in fuel cell.
