چکیده

Targeted and systematic reduction of accidents needs road safety management. Introduction of eventful points, is the first step in the process of the road safety management. The aim of this study is to offer a new approach with regard to environmental conditions and geometry set and preparation of these factors in geographical information system that takes accident into consideration due to the interaction of its components. This approach segment the rout to units or parts with their own physical characteristics and as a result, decision-making on the status of road safety is done based on the length of the specified properties rather than a point. This study was conducted on a path with the length of 56 kilometers that resulted in the identification of 13 different pieces of the relative risk scores, which is a new experience regarding the definition of the input and output parameters based on a simple sum weighty method of the environmental data preparation and geometric design route in geographic information systems (GIS) for prioritizing the components. The results showed that levels A4, A6 and A1, respectively, were identified the most dangerous sections of the Qeshm to Loft’s route
