The present study aimed to investigate the effect of searching on the Internet on Iranian EFL intermediate learners’ EA-based grammatical errors. Eighty intermediate students, all males, studying in an English Language Institute in Golpayegan, a major city in the province of Isfahan, participated in this study. The participants were asked to write on six narrative essays within six weeks. The first essay was considered the pre-test and the sixth essay was considered the post-test. The participants in the first group were asked to write the essays with the help of Internet. The participants in the second group were asked to write the essays without the help of Internet. After detecting the participants’ errors, the grammatical errors were classified as EA-based errors. The errors which were because of the lack of target language proficiency were classified as EA-based errors. The T-Test was used to investigate the effect and the improvement of learners’ EA-based grammatical errors. The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference between searching on the Internet and the improvement of the participants’ EA-based grammatical errors
