In this paper, combining the existing models for pressure drop and Nusselt number, liquid forced convective heat transfer in noncircular microchannels has been investigated. Both of the uniform wall temperature (UWT) and the uniform heat flux (UHF) boundary conditions have been considered. The new results for developed and thermally developing flows have been compared with existing solutions. Generally, it has been seen that present results for the developed flow in elliptic, right triangular, rectangular and circular sector channels are better than the existing model and in the case of the thermally developing flow, results for rectangular, square and equilateral triangular channels are better than the existing models. However, for the other duct shapes such as rhombus, sine and isosceles triangle the results are within +15 percent error or better with a few exceptions. The present results can be used for design and optimization purposes.
