چکیده مقاله:

This article is an evaluation of existing Pre-hospital care system in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The Research objectives were: (1) to learn how emergency rescue services are organized in Chiang Mai, (2) to learn about ongoing public health efforts to improve such services, and (3) to learn about the training, certification, employment, and medical usage of Pre-hospital personnel. After studying the recent national and local efforts and existing state of their emergency road services, it was concluded that Thailand was suffering from both inefficient and insufficient Pre-hospital services to get road accidents patients safely to good hospital infrastructure that the country had to offer. There is increasing awareness of the need for improved Pre-hospital services to manage crash injuries. Emergency workers need more professional training. The Thai National Government has promised funding to create a national EMS network by 2006.
