The MEBE Programme was a multi-disciplinry consortium funded by major Oil Companies and Research Organizations We aim at driving together a group of scientists whose expertise includes several domains of tectonucs (structural analysis , paleostress reconstrustion. subsidence modeling), steatigraphy (paleontology, sequence steatigraphy, organic matteranalysis), mechanical modeling, kinematics, and geophysics, within an interdisciplinarry study framework and towards a common objective: characterizing the major tectonic events and establishing an accurate timming of tectonic evo1ution of the Middle-East since Mesozoic.
