چکیده مقاله:

Molecularly imprinting polymers (MIP) came up to be an effective technique for designing drugdelivery systems and producing specific recognition sites. The aim of the present study is to prepare nanoparticles ofbiodegradable MIPs with high loading capacity for Methotrexate (MTX) as template. Addition of hydrolysablefunctional groups to the crosslinking agent was used to increase biodegradability of final polymer. Many kinds of MIPsusing different molar ratios among template, functional monomer and crosslinker were synthesized and the best sizeand optimal polymerization ratio were obtained. Morphology of nanoparticles characterized through Scanning electronmicroscope revealed that prepared nanoparticles had perfect spherical Shape. Loaded imprinted nanoparticles as drugreservoirs were able to prolong Methotrexate release, inpotassium dodecyl sulfate aqueous solution. The selectivity ofimprinted nanoparticles for Methotrexate studiedin comparison with non-imprinted nanoparticles. The nanoparticleswere stable at pH 5.0.and 7.4 the degradation covered a time span of about 14 days.
