DC electrodeposition of Ni–Ga alloy nanowires in AAO template

Ni–Ga alloy nanowires were electrodeposited from acidic sulphate baths into nanoporous anodized aluminaoxide (AAO). This template was fabricated by two-step anodizing and to remove the thick nonconductive barrier layer,a modification stage was accomplished at the end of secondary anodizing process and was immersed in the 1Mphosphoric acid solution for 30min. Nanowires magnetization properties such as coercivity and saturationmagnetization were studied to understand bath composition. The magnetic properties of electrodeposited nanowireswere measured by a homemade alternating gradient force magnetometer (AGFM) at room temperature. It was observedthat the magnetic parameters such as coercivity and saturation magnetization were decreased with increasing the Gacontent.
