چکیده مقاله:

Catalytic combustion of toluene over Pd catalyst supported on composite of natural zeolite (clinoptilolite) hasbeen investigated. The nanocatalysts have been characterized by XRD, SEM, BET techniques. XRD pattern ofnanocatalysts showed that all of them have been synthesized in nanometer dimensions and crystallite size of cerium oxideis about 20-23 nm. FESEM images confirmed that these nanocatalysts had homogenous surface and particles size innano-ranges. BET surface area presented large surface area for nanocatalysts. The results of toluene oxidation indicatedthat the synthesized nanocatalysts were highly active and able to remove nearly 100% of toluene as representative VOCsin polluted air. The presence of nanoparticles along with good characteristics of the synthesized nanocatalysts presentedthem as highly efficient materials for catalytic oxidation of VOCs.
