چکیده مقاله:

The reaction between synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and mercury (II) ions was introducedas a new, cheap, so tiny, and high potential colorimetric sensor for the selective recognition and monitoring ofmercury ions in aqueous and industrial samples. Three different AgNPs with sodium citrate, sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) and two component coating (citrate/sodium dodecyl sulfate) were synthesized via facile one step chemicalreduction method. Dynamic light scattering (DLS), and UV–vis spectroscopy were carried out for characterization of aspreparednanoparticles. The sensitivity and selectivity of tiny prepared AgNPs toward other representative transitionmetalions, were studied. The effects of experimental conditions such as: pH, concentration of citrate, and SDS wereinvestigated on the detection ability. These nanoparticles were also coated on the paper substrate to detected mercuryions, as colorimetric sensors in aqueous and industrial samples.
