Ultrasonic assisted synthesis of two novel nanosized phosphazenes

The nanoparticles of two new phosphazene compounds with general formula 4-CH3C6H4S(O)2N=PX3 whereX= NC4H8 (1) and NC6H12 (2) were synthesized using ultrasonic method and characterized by 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, FT-IR,fluorescence, UV-visible spectroscopy, XRD, FE-SEM microscopy and elemental analysis. A relatively high 3J(P,C)aliphatic= 8.1 Hz and a 2J(P,C)aliphatic = 4.6 were obtained in the 13C NMR spectrum of 1 with 3J(P,C) > 2J(P,C). The FE-SEMmicrographs revealed that the nanoparticles of these compounds are spherical in morphology and 27-42 nm in size andfrom the XRD patterns, the crystal sizes were estimated about 24 nm.
