Application of SiO2@FeSO4 nano-composite as catalyst for One-Pot Synthesis of 3,4- Dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones and Their Sulfur Derivatives

Multicomponent reaction of Biginelli of aromatic aldehydes, 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds andurea/thiourea in the present of SiO2@FeSO nano-composite as efficient nanocatalyst at solvent-free conditionproduces 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones and their sulfur derivatives in high yields. SiO2@FeSO4 nanocompositewas synthesized by sol-gel method and nano particles with 35 nm average diameter werecharacterized by sem image.
