چکیده مقاله:

Proteinaceous amyloid aggregates involve in many neurodegenerative diseases. α-synuclein (ASN)implicates to produce amyloid fibrils in synucleinopathy diseases including Parkinson’s Diseases. Recently, usingnanoparticles (NPs) as drug carriers represents a promising approach to increase the penetration of drugs to the centralnervous system. Herein, we investigated the effect of Human Serum Albumin Nanoparticles (HSA-NPs) on thefibrillation of recombinant, human ASN. The NPs were synthetized by desolvation method. The size and charge of NPswere determined using DLS and SEM images, which were 140nm and -33mV, respectively. ASN fibrillation was testedby ThT fluorescence, Congo red absorption assays and fluorescence microscopy images. Results showed that HSA-NPscan shorten the nucleation time and reduce slightly the final equilibrium value in a concentration dependent manner..Due to their biocompatibility and not showing deleterious effect, HSA-NPs can be considered as a good carriers for smallmolecules.
