چکیده مقاله:
Stability of nanoparticles in biological systems play critical role in determining their functionality and fate. Herein, aging, temperature and post-synthesis storage conditions of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been studied by monitoring surface plasmonresonance (SPR) characteristics. Formation of nanoparticles, surface morphology and size distribution were studied by UV-Visspectroscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Within different time intervals the SPRspectrum of nanoparticles at ambient temperature depicted shifts to longer wavelengths and decrease of intensity; whereas it did notshow any significant change at 4◦C storage condition. The nanoparticles also showed thermal resistance when heated up to 90 ◦C.Results of SPR profile at different conditions revealed that darkness, cold temperature (4.0◦C) and vigorous stirring are the optimizedconditions to obtain stable AgNPs. This effort paves the way for exploitation of plasmonic nanoparticles in biomedical applications.
