Using The Nano-Composite to Investigate Nitrite Effect on Adult Hemoglobin

The effect of nitrite ions on the human adult hemoglobin (HbA) which is immobilized on the surface ofmodified electrode by the carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and a hydrophilic ionic liquid (IL)nano-composite was investigated using cyclic voltametery at potential scan rate of 50 mV s-1. The cyclic voltammogramof HbA indicates that conformational changes of HbA due to nitrinte ions made decrease in reversibility and enhancedin electron transfer rate in this protein. The peak height in the presence of 100 mg/l nitrite ions was decreased over time,after 30 minutes.
