چکیده مقاله:

Health protection of workers is the major aims of pollution control. During the work, using of respiratory maskis the last way to have control on pollutants in workplaces. The quality of masks is measured by quality factor whichdepend on efficiency and pressure drop of its media. However, the efficiency and pressure drop themselves depend onthe physical parameter of media including nanofibers diameter, the thickness of the media and Porosity.Electrospinning is a simple and profitable method for making nanofibers with low diameter. Nanofibers were used as amedia in respiratory masks.The effects of key parameters on the electrospun nanofibers process were considered. To prepare nanofibers, somevarious concentrations in the range of 10-25 % w - v Nylon 6 in formic acid were used.The morphology of the electrospun Nylon-6 was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The averagediameters of nanofibers produced in this study were 112.6nm, 127.2nm and 157.5 nm for 15%, 20% and 25% nylon-6concentration samples, respectively.The quality factor measurement of samples showed that the quality factor of 15% nylon-6 concentration with 0.2181 washigher than the others (20% and 25%).
