A Low-Power and High-Speed 15-4 Compressor for Fast Multiplication Applications

This paper presents a low-power and high-speed 15-4 compressor for fast multiplication applications capable of operating at ultra-low supply voltages. A 5-3 compressor is also presented, which attempts to minimize the stage delays and the power dissipation. The proposed 5-3 compressor is used inside the structure of 15-4 compressor which will results in low power and high speed operation. The power-delay product of the proposed compressor is found to be equal to as low as 33.56pJ in 22nm BSIM technology and 0.024pJ in 20nm FinFET technology. Simulations have been carried out using HSPICE.
