Separation of propylene and propane is one of the most important gas separation applications in petrochemical industry. Because of small differences between size and physical properties of paraffins and olefins, separation of these two specie is very difficult task by conventional solution-diffusion membranes. Facilitated membranes containing a carrier that selectively transfer one species more than other component.
