چکیده مقاله:

Low velocity impact behavior of hybrid composite laminates reinforced with aramid, glass, basalt and carbonfabrics fabricated using hand lay-up technique was investigated. Different stacking sequences inspired from a recent research work published by Materials & Design (۲۰۱۳) were considered and tested using Charpy impact testingmachine. In addition, different notch angles from ۴۵ to ۱۰۵ degrees were considered and tested to study the effect of notch angle on the impact behavior of hybrid composites with different stacking sequences. The energy absorptioncapability of the specimens with different stacking sequences was compared and discussed. High magnified pictures from the failed surfaces were taken and the nature of fracture was also studied.
