Determining the status of fuzzy flexible measures in Data Envelopment Analysis

The data in the conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) models assume the form of specific numerical values with explicit designation of being an input or an output. However, the observed values of the data are sometimes vague and data are sometimes flexible. In this paper a method is proposed to determine the status of fuzzy inputs and outputs. Indeed, a fuzzy DEA model is modified to accommodate flexible measures. Numerical examples illustrate the procedure.
