AGRICULTURAL BY-PRODUCT IN POULTRY NUTRITION

Annually agriculture crop production in Iran is more than 130 Million Tons. More than 20% of these products changes into waste. Discharge this amount of waste into environment, causes some environmental problems. For prevention of these problems there are some strategies. One of them is use as an ingredient in farm animal diets. Because these by-products are fibrous, so mainly use of them is in ruminant diets and using in poultry nutrition is limited. However some of them contain low amount of fiber and have some useful secondary substances, so can be use in poultry diets. The main reasons in use of agricultural by-product in poultry nutrition included: supply some special nutrient, enrichment of products, increase marketability of products, reduction of production cost, increase the immunity level, reduce environmental problems and finally employment
