A Novel Improved Buck Converter with Low Output Voltage Ripple

A novel Buck DC/DC converter is presented in this paper. The presented converter benefits from various advantages such as simple circuit structure, low output voltage ripple, better output voltage gainperformance and wide input/output voltage range. The voltage conversion gain of the proposed Buck converter islower than the conventional Buck converter which provides a better input/output voltage characteristic. In addition, the simple circuit structure of the presented converter makes the control scheme easy to implement. Steady-state analysis and the operation principles of the presented converter are discussed in details. Moreover,the simulation results are provided to verify the operation of the presented converter. The advantages of the presented converter are also validated by simulation results.
