چکیده مقاله:
A high speed cumulative determinant-based fault detection algorithm is presented in this paper. The proposed algorithm is proven to be faster and more reliable than other conventional sample-based methods such as sample to sample, cycle to cycle and cumulative sum based algorithms especially for high impedance faults. In the developed methodology, the impact of important parameters such as noise, frequency deviation, current spikes and sudden load changes as well as fault detection speed are considered to evaluate the algorithm applicability. The algorithm is applied to a single line to ground (SLG) fault in a simple two source model as well as a SLG in MANESHT to ESLAMABAD-E-GHARB 230kV power transmission line of Iran national grid as a real case.
