A Practical Method for Determining the OptimumIntervals of Maintenance Test for Protective Systemsin Actual Conditions of a Regional Electric Company

There is not a distinct time for maintenance testintervals of protective systems and engineers carry out these testsperiodically, regardless of different conditions and parametersthat can affect various the test.At the first this problem is analyzed and discussed. UsuallyMARKOV model is used for estimating optimum routine testintervals. But this model is infeasible for practical consideration;a new method is presented with actual conditions considerationof a regional electric company in this research. This method caninvolve all practical and real condition. This method is executedfor a regional electric company for three years and the results areshown. Finally an economical analysis is presented
