Actors behind sanctions against Iran reflected in domestic papers

This article tries to study the nature of Iranian media reflection on sanctions against Iran through critical discourse analysis. In order to shed light on this topic, I analyze a few texts published by Iranian daily newspapers focusing on United Nations Security Council Resolutions, which imposed sanctions on Iran in order to halt its uranium enrichment program. My research question is: whom do Iranian newspapers identify as the responsible for the implementation of the resolutions? By analyzing responsibility, I seek to assess Iran’s confidence toward each 5+1 group member especially eastern ones, which is a precondition for the development of true consensus between these states in future negotiations.
