The impact of learner characteristics ; styles, strategies and motivation on development of language teaching on the side of applied linguistics

This paper looks at the characteristics of the language learner as a factor of success in learning and focuses on three main factors : learning styles , learner strategies and motivation in order to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning.It also calrifies different learning style preferences and different strategies applied by learners and how motivation can be promoted consciously by employing certain methods in order to be directed positively. Finally, the paper aims to show that considering some pedagogical issues based on suitable styles and strategies along with motivation can make the languge teaching course more productive and more enjoyable both for the teacher and the student
