A Novel Low-Pass Microstrip Filter with Ultra-Wide Stopband Using a T-shaped Resonator

In this paper a novel rectangular ended stub resonator to design a low pass filter with wide stopband is presented. This filter has -۳ dB cut-off frequency at ۲.۳۵ GHz. Maximum insertion loss is ۰.۲ dB in the passband and stop bandwidth with attenuation level better than -۲۰ dB extends from ۲.۷ GHz up to ۵۴.۸ GHz. Thus, a ultra-wide stopband is achieved. demonstrated filter that has been designed, fabricated and measured has a good agreement between Simulation and measurement.
