چکیده مقاله:
Natural bioactive compounds have attracted considerable attention because of their diverse pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. However, the therapeutic application of many phytochemicals is limited by poor aqueous solubility, chemical instability, rapid degradation, and low bioavailability. Nanoliposomes, nanoscale phospholipid vesicles capable of encapsulating both hydrophilic and lipophilic compounds, have emerged as promising delivery systems to overcome these limitations. Their unique structure improves the solubility, stability, intestinal absorption, and targeted delivery of plant-derived bioactive compounds while protecting them from environmental and enzymatic degradation. This review highlights recent progress in nanoliposome-based delivery systems for natural products. The data were systematically collected from reputable scientific databases including Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect, using relevant keywords such as "nanoliposome," "natural products," "phytochemicals," "bioavailability," and "controlled release." A wide range of phytochemicals including curcumin, quercetin, resveratrol, berberine, carotenoids, essential oils, and plant extracts-have been successfully formulated into nanoliposomes, showing improved stability, bioavailability, controlled release, and therapeutic efficacy. However, key challenges include low encapsulation efficiency, lipid instability, poor scalability, rapid clearance, and burst release. Overall, nanoliposomes represent a versatile and effective platform for improving the delivery and therapeutic performance of natural bioactive compounds, with considerable potential for future pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and biomedical applications.
