چکیده مقاله:

Recent progress in nanotechnology has significantly impacted nuclear medicine, presenting opportunities for enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic methodologies. In recent years, increasing efforts have been focused on developing nanoconstructs that can be used as core platforms for attaching medical radionuclides with different strategies for the purposes of molecular imaging and targeted drug delivery. This article presents an introduction to some commonly used nanomaterials with zero-dimensional, one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional structures, and provides illustrative examples of application of the radiolabeled nanocarriers in nuclear nanomedicine. The integration of complementary signal reporters into nanoparticulate contrast agents enables multimodal molecular imaging, yielding scalable images characterized by high sensitivity, resolution, and specificity, which can improve early cancer diagnosis. The emergence of radiolabeled nanocarriers with properties such as magnetic, plasmonic, or fluorescent characteristics has spurred considerable interest in developing multimodality imaging probes, suggesting a potential paradigm shift in multimodal molecular imaging and the introduction of innovative diagnostic medical imaging agents.
