چکیده مقاله:
The attachment between mother and child, as one of the most fundamental emotional bonds, plays a decisive role in the formation of the child's personality and mental health. The purpose of this article is to review and analyze research texts on the relationship between mother-child attachment and social and academic adjustment of students. In this regard, by reviewing domestic and foreign articles, it was explained that secure attachment leads to improved social adaptation in the school environment by increasing self-confidence, communication skills, and problem-solving ability. Also, the findings show that the quality of this emotional bond has a positive effect on the academic progress and academic performance of students through reducing anxiety and increasing internal motivation. On the other hand, insecure attachments (avoidance and anxiety) are associated with problems such as isolation, aggression and academic failure. Finally, this article emphasizes the importance of family-centered interventions to strengthen secure attachment to improve the quality of academic and social life of students.
