Investigating the Effectiveness of Dr. Taghizadeh’s Therapeutic Model Based on Mental and Cognitive Simulation on Stuttering in Young Adults

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Dr. Taghizadeh’s therapeutic model, based on mental and cognitive simulation, in reducing stuttering severity among young people who stutter. The study adopted a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The research population consisted of young clients referred to Dr. Taghizadeh’s clinic, from whom a convenience sample was selected. Data were collected using the Stuttering Severity Instrument and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired-samples t test. The results indicated that the therapeutic intervention led to a reduction in stuttering severity among the participants, and the difference between pretest and posttest scores was statistically significant. These findings suggest that Dr. Taghizadeh’s therapeutic model based on mental and cognitive simulation is effective in reducing stuttering severity in young people and may serve as an effective approach in speech therapy interventions.
