The emergence of Iranian Chaharbagh in Baruk era

Garden construction art was formed since a long time ago by ancient Iranians. The emergence of garden in Iran civilization dates back to 3 thousands ago. Chaharbagh is the most important factor of Iranian gardens. The first Iranian Chaharbagh being built before Islam is Pasargad garden and some signs of it is remained. In Islamic era, many Chaharbaghs were constructed. The purpose of Iranian architectures was building a land paradise and these gardens are the manifestation of paradise Chaharbagh giving good tiding in Al-Rahman verse. Garden construction art exceeded Iran borders as its traces are found in Varsay garden of France (Baruk eral) and Taj Mahal garden (Isfahani style) in India. The current study aimed to investigate the common principles in the design of Iranian gardens and comparative comparison with the abroad examples
