چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the structural behavior of continuous concrete bridge decks by comparing two-span and three-span configurations, each featuring a ۵۰ cm thick slab and ۸-meter spans. Using finite element analysis in Abaqus, the bridges were subjected to combined vertical loadings, simulating realistic traffic scenarios with both distributed and concentrated loads. The analysis focused on critical parameters such as stress distribution and vertical displacement, particularly in regions like mid-span and intermediate supports. Comparative results indicate that the three-span bridge generally experiences higher stresses and larger deformations than the two-span bridge. This suggests that the two-span configuration, under the conditions studied, exhibits greater stiffness and a more advantageous load distribution, potentially offering enhanced serviceability. The findings underscore the importance of considering span arrangement and continuity in the design of thick-slab concrete bridges to optimize structural performance and ensure adequate safety margins.
