چکیده مقاله:

This research presents a comparative assessment of the structural behavior of two-span and three-span continuous concrete bridge decks subjected to combined vertical loadings. A case study was conducted on bridge deck slabs with a thickness of ۵۰ cm. Using the finite element method, the distribution of Von Mises stress and vertical displacement ( ) for both configurations under identical loading conditions (including concentrated and uniformly distributed loads) was analyzed and compared. The results indicate that the three-span model, owing to its enhanced continuity, exhibits higher stiffness and experiences lower vertical displacements compared to the two-span model. The maximum Von Mises stress in the three-span model is also distributed more uniformly, showing less stress concentration than the two-span model, particularly in areas near the intermediate support. These findings highlight the importance of the continuous configuration and the number of spans in improving the structural performance and resilience of bridge deck slabs, offering guidance for the optimal design of similar structures.
