چکیده مقاله:

The structural performance of continuous concrete bridge decks is significantly influenced by span arrangement and the nature of the applied loading. This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of two-span and three-span continuous concrete bridge decks, both featuring a ۴۰-cm thick slab, subjected to a uniformly distributed load (UDL). Utilizing finite element analysis (FEA), the research evaluates the structural response in terms of Von Mises stress distribution and vertical displacement ( ). The numerical results demonstrate that the structural configuration and the extent of continuity fundamentally alter the mechanical response of the deck system under distributed loading. The comparison reveals that the three-span configuration, through enhanced redundancy and support continuity, exhibits distinct stress and displacement profiles compared to the two-span system. These findings underscore the importance of span arrangement as a critical design parameter, providing essential insights for engineers to optimize the structural integrity and serviceability of continuous concrete bridge infrastructures under uniform loading scenarios.
