چکیده مقاله:

The structural performance of continuous concrete bridge decks is significantly influenced by the number of spans and the configuration of supports, which in turn dictate the internal force distribution under various loading conditions. This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of two-span and three-span continuous concrete bridge decks, both featuring a ۴۰-cm thick slab. Utilizing finite element analysis (FEA), the research evaluates the structural response in terms of Von Mises stress distribution and vertical displacement ( ) under multiple loading scenarios, including concentrated point loads, distributed loads, and combined vertical loading. The numerical results demonstrate that the three-span configuration, while providing enhanced structural redundancy, exhibits distinct stress concentrations and displacement profiles compared to the two-span system. The findings reveal that the continuity of spans in three-span configurations leads to a more complex redistribution of forces, necessitating more rigorous design considerations for reinforcement and serviceability. This study underscores the critical importance of span arrangement as a primary design parameter, providing essential insights for engineers to optimize the structural integrity and long-term performance of multi-span continuous concrete bridge infrastructures.
