چکیده مقاله:
This study presents a comparative numerical analysis of the structural response of concrete bridge decks with a ۳۰-cm slab thickness and an ۸-meter span, focusing on the performance differences between single-span and three-span continuous configurations under a ۵۰ kN vertical distributed load. Utilizing finite element analysis (FEA), the research investigates the mechanical behavior of these two distinct structural systems in terms of stress distribution and vertical displacement. The objective is to quantify how the introduction of structural continuity in a three-span system, compared to a statically determinate single-span bridge, influences the load-carrying capacity and deformation profiles under distributed loading conditions. Preliminary findings indicate that the redistribution of internal moments and the altered boundary conditions in the three-span continuous deck significantly impact the structural integrity and serviceability requirements. The results provide critical insights for structural engineers regarding the trade-offs between simplified single-span designs and more complex, indeterminate three-span continuous systems, emphasizing the importance of precise reinforcement detailing at support and mid-span regions to mitigate stress concentrations and ensure optimal structural performance under distributed loads.
