چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a comparative numerical investigation into the structural performance of ۸-meter reinforced concrete bridge decks with a ۴۰-cm thickness, subjected to combined vertical loading conditions (۵۰ kN/m distributed load and ۲۰۰ kN concentrated load). The research evaluates and quantifies the mechanical response of a simply supported single-span system in comparison to a two-span continuous system. Utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA), key structural parameters—specifically Von Mises stress distribution and vertical displacement ( )—were analyzed to determine the effects of structural continuity on load-carrying capacity and deformation behavior. The results indicate that while the two-span continuous system experiences higher peak stress concentrations due to moment redistribution at the intermediate pier, it provides superior structural redundancy compared to the single-span configuration. This comparative analysis offers critical insights into the serviceability and structural efficiency of different connectivity configurations, providing a baseline for optimizing concrete bridge design under complex, high-intensity loading regimes.
