چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a comparative numerical investigation into the structural performance of reinforced concrete bridge decks with a ۴۰-cm thickness, focusing on the behavior of ۸-meter span configurations under a ۵۰ kN/m vertical distributed load. The research aims to evaluate the differences in structural response between a simply supported single-span system and a two-span continuous system. Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the study quantifies key structural parameters, specifically Von Mises stress distribution and vertical displacement ( ). The results provide insights into how structural continuity influences load transfer mechanisms, stress concentrations, and deformation patterns within the deck slab. The comparative analysis reveals that the continuous system offers a distinct advantage in structural redundancy and redistribution of internal forces, despite variations in peak stress magnitudes compared to the single-span counterpart. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the serviceability and efficiency of bridge deck designs, offering valuable data for optimizing concrete structures under uniform service loading conditions.
