چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a detailed structural assessment of a two-span continuous concrete bridge with a ۴۰ cm deck slab subjected to vertical point loadings. The investigation aims to characterize the mechanical behavior of the bridge under concentrated wheel-type loads, with emphasis on stress distribution, deformation patterns, and the influence of deck continuity on global and local structural responses. A three-dimensional finite element model was developed to simulate the two ۸ m spans, incorporating realistic boundary conditions at the abutments and intermediate support to capture negative moment formation and stiffness enhancement. The applied point loads were positioned to represent critical service loading conditions typically encountered in highway bridges. Numerical results indicate that the continuity of the deck significantly reduces mid-span deflections while redistributing internal forces across both spans, thereby moderating stress concentrations near load application points. The findings highlight the structural efficiency of continuous concrete bridge systems in resisting concentrated vertical loads and provide valuable insight for the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of multi-span reinforced concrete decks.
