چکیده مقاله:
The structural behavior of short-span concrete bridges is highly influenced by deck thickness and the nature of applied loads. This study examines the mechanical response of an ۸ meter single-span concrete bridge with a ۵۰ cm deck slab subjected to a ۵۰ kN vertical distributed load. Using finite element analysis (FEA), the research evaluates the resulting stress distribution and vertical displacement patterns to assess the deck’s performance under uniformly applied loading conditions. The numerical results show that the increased slab thickness significantly enhances the global stiffness of the bridge, leading to reduced deflections and improved stress distribution across the span. The load is efficiently transferred to the supports, minimizing critical stress concentrations typically observed in thinner deck configurations. The findings emphasize that a ۵۰ cm deck slab provides a robust structural response under distributed loading and contributes to improved serviceability and durability in short span bridge systems.
